PARADOCS

PARADOCS is a multidisciplinary general practice. The project involved the redesign of five consultation rooms, accommodating general practitioners, a podiatrist, and a psychotherapist. The client’s brief was simple: to introduce a greater sense of domesticity into the working environment, enhancing the spaces with a softer, more approachable atmosphere.

Across all consultation rooms, acoustic ceiling systems were integrated. Their wooden grid articulation not only transforms an otherwise neutral ceiling plane into an architectural feature, but also provides a flexible infrastructural framework for future cabling and technical upgrades. The custom-designed desk in the general practitioner’s practice was conceived as an architectural element, balancing functionality with a light and playful expression. Composed of 40 mm thick panels and mitered volumes, creating a clear yet refined spatial presence.

Circular wall tiles with a subtle light-blue undertone contrast gently with the warmer materials. Sourced from ROTOR DC, these reclaimed tiles introduce both a circular narrative and a distinctive patina, enriching the overall atmosphere. This resulted in the right balance and a fitting complement to the other consulting rooms. Yellow onyx natural stone completes the material palette. Used for the desks in the remaining rooms, the capped circular geometry allows for integrated mounting while subtly orienting the workspace toward the physician. Carefully detailed, these bespoke elements transcend the ordinary, contributing to a calm and welcoming environment for both patient and practitioner.
